She administers health risk assessments, provides health lectures to large groups, runs health competitions, and performs bio-metric testing. The Scott Lawson Companies Announces a Carpool Drive for Employees
(Concord, NH) – The Scott Lawson Companies (Scott Lawson Group, Ltd.; Comp-SIGMA, Ltd.; Workforce Wellness) have announced a carpool drive for employees in an initiative to become more “green”. Employees who participate in the carpool drive and help reduce the carbon footprint of the company will receive a free gas card at the end of the month.
The Scott Lawson Companies’ carpool drive is separated into three levels:
Bronze: Two or more employees carpool to and from work at least EIGHT times in a month, each participant receives a $20 gas card.
Silver: Two or more employees carpool to and from work at least TWELVE times in a month, each participant receives a $40 gas card.
Gold: Two or more employees carpool to and from work at least SIXTEEN times in a month, each participant receives a $60 gas card.
Every employee will receive a $10 gas card at the end of the month regardless of their participation in the carpool drive. The Scott Lawson Companies hope to encourage their employees to become engaged, save money, and ultimately benefit the environment.

(Concord, New Hampshire)—The Scott Lawson Companies participated in the sixth annual Ocean Bank & Hutter Construction Rock ‘N Race on May 21st, 2008. The event took place in Concord and benefited Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care.
There were over 5,000 participants for the event—70 of whom were sponsored by The Scott Lawson Companies. The event was held to raise money to assure access to virtually all the medical care treatment options and support services for those affected by cancer at the Payson Center.

My wife and long-time business partner Teena received extended treatment at the Payson Center for breast cancer before passing away in February of 2007. We began supporting the Payson Center well before Teena became ill, and are now working harder than ever to support them in their efforts to combat this terrible disease.”

These individuals were nominated by their peers and will be recognized at their place of employment as well as at the Breakfast of Champions. The celebration will be held at The Scott Lawson Companies’ headquarters in Concord, NH on March 7th, 2008.
A total of 19 Wellness Program participants were selected as Wellness Champions in 2007. Among the most notable achievements of Wellness Program Champions include: Mike French of Concord lost 95 pounds in just four months; Bruce Wyatt of Loudon lost 70 pounds; Anne Rainey of Francestown hiked all 48 of New Hampshire’s 4000 foot peaks in one year; and Jamie Munroe of Hopkinton overcame diabetes to lose 30 pounds and improve his overall health.

Scott Lawson Group, Ltd. Offers Compliance Training for NEW State of New Hampshire Construction Safety Regulation
(Concord, New Hampshire) – Scott Lawson Group, Ltd. (SLGL) is pleased offer a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Training Certification course that fulfills the training requirement of a new State of New Hampshire construction safety regulation, effective July 1st, 2008.
By July 1st, the new State of New Hampshire RSA 277:5-a Regulation requires that bidders on state and local building and public works contracts over $100,000 must certify that employees have completed an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction safety program.
The 10-hour OSHA training course offered by SLGL on March 18th, 2008 from 8:00am to 4:00pm and March 19th, 2008 from 8:00am to 12:00pm fulfills the certification requirements mandated by this new regulation. During the day-and-a-half course, SLGL’s authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer covers the fundamental components of working safely in the construction industry and an introduction to OSHA, while also providing the necessary information and training on electrical safety, fall protection and more. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive a 10-Hour Construction Safety Training card issued by OSHA.
