THE SCOTT LAWSON COMPANIES PARTICIPATE IN ROCK ‘N RACE TO BENEFIT CANCER CARE
(Concord, New Hampshire)—The Scott Lawson Companies participated in the sixth annual Ocean Bank & Hutter Construction Rock ‘N Race on May 21st, 2008. The event took place in Concord and benefited Concord Hospital’s Payson Center for Cancer Care.
There were over 5,000 participants for the event—70 of whom were sponsored by The Scott Lawson Companies. The event was held to raise money to assure access to virtually all the medical care treatment options and support services for those affected by cancer at the Payson Center.
Scott Lawson, President of The Scott Lawson Companies, states: “This cause has serious personal implications for my family, as well as our extended business family at The Scott Lawson Companies. My wife and long-time business partner Teena received extended treatment at the Payson Center for breast cancer before passing away in February of 2007. The care Teena received at the Payson Center was outstanding, and the competent staff was always helpful, positive, and upbeat. We began supporting the Payson Center well before Teena became ill, and are now working harder than ever to support them in their efforts to combat this terrible disease.”
